David Gilmour Shares ‘Great Gig In The Sky’ Excerpt From ‘Live At Pompeii’

Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour will issue a concert film Live At Pompeii on Friday, September 29. Another clip from the historic shows held in the ancient Italian city has been shared.
Directed and shot in 4K by Gavin Elder, the 148-minute movie compiles footage from the two concerts Gilmour staged in July 2016 at Pompeii Amphitheatre in Italy, the same venue he and Pink Floyd filmed Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii 45 years before.
Among the highlights was the performance of The Dark Side Of The Moon classic “Great Gig In The Sky,” which is rarely played by Gilmour and had been shelved since 2006. The clip below features vocalist Louise Clare Marshall and Gilmour on lap steel for a portion of “Great Gig In The Sky.”
