David Bowie Inspires New Emojis

New emojis inspired by David Bowie are part of the latest update for the icons. Both a male and female version of the Bowie emoji were developed.

Titled “male singer” and “female singer,” the pair of icons resemble Aladdin Sane-era Bowie and feature his recognizable makeup design. According to Emojipedia, the new Bowie emojis will be among several graphics added as part of Apple’s iOS 10.2 update. A similar Bowie-styled emoji was proposed by Google earlier this year by a group trying to better represent women.
