Dave Matthews Band Fits Tour Debuts Into Cincinnati Concert

Dave Matthews Band followed two concerts in Noblesville that featured a bevy of rarities by presenting a more traditional setlist on Tuesday night at Cincinnati’s Riverbend Music Center. However, the group still found opportunities to work in two songs they haven’t played yet this tour.
The septet kicked off the night with their breakthrough 1994 hit “What Would You Say.” A few songs later, DMB performed the beloved “Lie In Our Graves” for the first time since April. The rest of the 18-song set was heavy on staples such as “Why I Am,” “Don’t Drink The Water,” “Everyday” and “Ants Marching.” An interesting moment came when the group presented a partial version of Steve Miller Band‘s “Fly Like An Eagle.” This year, DMB has often segued “Jimi Thing” into “Fly Like An Eagle” but last night the group just played a standalone take on the song.

Matthews returned for the encore by himself and presented a solo rendition of Willie Nelson‘s “Funny How Time Slips Away,” which was last played during a DMB show way back on July 25, 2010. The band then returned to cap the night with “All Along The Watchtower.”
