The Capitol Theatre :: Port Chester, NY

Guitarist Dan Auerbach has spent the last year focusing on his Easy Eye Sound label, which takes its name from The Black Keys’ frontman’s Nashville studio. Auerbach is showing off the best of what the label has to offer on his current Easy Eye Sound Revue tour. The run continued on Wednesday night at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.

Dan’s Easy Eye Sound house band features an impressive array of R&B, soul and rock veterans. Drummer Gene Chrisman backed Elvis Presley on songs such as “Suspicious Minds” and “In The Ghetto” and also is behind the kit on Dusty Springfield’s “Son Of A Preacher Man.” Pianist Bobby Wood backed Presley and Springfield as well as Kris Kristofferson, Wilson Pickett and many others. Innovative guitarist Russ Pahl and Johnny Cash bassist Dave Roe are also among the members of Auerbach’s band for the run. Dan Auerbach’s performance at The Cap included show-stealing guest appearances from label mates Shannon Shaw and Robert Finley. Auerbach produced recent albums by both Finley and Shaw’s band Shannon & The Clams for his label. Check out a gallery of photos captured by Adam McCullough:
