Cyro Baptista Added Back To Trey Anastasio Band Lineup For 2017 Dates

After a year in which the Trey Anastasio Band played just two shows in 2016, TAB is poised for a much more active 2017. The band recently announced an extensive Spring Tour with word more dates are coming. Anastasio has revealed Brazilian percussionist Cyro Baptista will be in the TAB lineup for 2017.

Cyro and Trey first joined forces in 2000 as special guests of Medeski, Martin & Wood at The Palace Theatre in Albany. Anastasio asked Baptista to join TAB in 2002 and he remained in the group through 2004. The percussionist came back into the fold for a New Year’s Run in 2006 and then again for a tour a piece in 2012 and 2013. Last year, Cyro was on stage with TAB during their performance at the inaugural Vertex Festival in Colorado.

The Trey Anastasio Band kicks off Spring Tour at The Capitol Theatre on April 14.
