Crowded House Performs On ‘Colbert’

Watch the band play “To The Island” from their new album and classic “Don’t Dream It’s Over.”

Crowded House appeared on Thursday’s The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The band led by Neil Finn performed “To The Island” for last night’s episode and also contributed “Don’t Dream It’s Over” as a web exclusive.

“To The Island” is featured on Dreamers Are Waiting, the group’s first album in over a decade. The 12-track LP, which arrived in June, is also the first to feature the current Crowded House lineup of Neil Finn, bassist Nick Seymour, keyboardist Mitchell Froom and Neil’s sons, drummer Elroy Finn and guitarist Liam Finn.

“Don’t Dream It’s Over” was originally released by Crowded House on their self-titled debut studio album in 1986. Perhaps the band’s signature song, the tune penned by Neil Finn reached #2 on Billboard Top 100.

Both “Don’t Dream It’s Over” and “To The Island” were filmed remotely. Watch the performances below:
