Jazz guitarist Wayne Krantz is known for his inventive reworkings of songs he covers and his new album continues that trend. Krantz delivers a groovy, jazz-infused take on “U Can’t Touch This” on his soon-to-be-released album Good Piranha/Bad Piranha that you can stream below. Wayne’s tenth album includes two different versions of “U Can’t Touch This” as well as two takes a piece on Pendulum’s “Comprachicos,” Ice Cube’s “My Skin is My Sin” and Radiohead vocalist Thom Yorke’s “Black Swan,” and is set to be released on November 18 via Abstract Logix.

Krantz is joined on the LP by longtime collaborators Keith Carlock (Steely Dan, Sting, Toto) on drums and Tim Lefebvre (Tedeschi Trucks Band) on bass. In addition, Nate Wood (Kneebody) plays bass on four tracks and drums on four others, while Gabriela Anders injects the occasional vocal.
