Tonight guitarist Bill Frisell has two performances scheduled at the Lincoln Center’s The Appel Room in New York City billed as Bill Frisell: Up & Down The Mississippi: Traveling Highway 61. If you can’t make it to NYC, the Jazz At Lincoln Center Livestream channel will make both shows available for free live streaming tonight.
Frisell and will be backed by saxophonist Greg Osby, pianist Craig Taborn and drummer Rudy Royston for “a musical journey along the revered route, which Bob Dylan famously immortalized in 1965.” The early concert begins tonight, Saturday May 30 at 7:00 p.m. and the late concert begins 9:30 p.m. ET.
