Cory Wong Joining Louis Cato & The Late Show Band All Week Long On ‘Colbert’

The guitarist embarks on a three-week winter tour from February 16 through March 4.

Guitarist Cory Wong began a weeklong residency as the special guest of Louis Cato & The Late Show Band with an appearance on Monday’s episode of The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The Vulfpeck member and solo artist will perform with the CBS late-night talk show’s house band through the episode airing this Friday, January 20.

Wong previously contributed to the program’s #PlayAtHome video series. The Minneapolis-based guitarist and his solo band, The Wongnotes, performed “Bluebird” on the set of his “Cory & The Wongnotes” variety show.

Additionally, Cory Wong was a guest of the show’s prior house band, Jon Batiste & Stay Human, for a Colbert episode in the fall of 2019. Batiste stepped down as bandleader last August, when Cato took over the Stay Human was rechristened The Late Show Band.

Wong kicks off a winter tour featuring special guests Victor Wooten and Trousdale on February 16 in St. Louis. The trek continues through March 4.
