By Scott Bernstein Jan 31, 2019 • 1:26 pm PST

Acclaimed bassist Freekbass will be going live from Color Red this coming Tuesday, February 5 at 7 p.m. MT for a performance and Q&A session. Viewers can stream the session through Color Red’s website as well as both Color Red & Freekbass’ Facebook channels.
The session comes on the heels of the release of Freekbass’ Color Red single “Fre3KroNomoKon,” which was issued on January 8. Freekbass & the Bump Assembly will be recording an album at Color Red produced by Eddie Roberts, Color Red founder & guitarist of The New Mastersounds, due early this summer.

The album is said to “celebrate the spirit of collaboration and honors the roots of regional funk, both past and present.” Freekbass picked Color Red as the platform and label to release his next record so he could bring the storied roots of Cincinnati-based funk to the collaborative hotbed of Denver’s music scene in the studio under the helm of Roberts’ rich jazz and funk background.
