Coldplay teamed with a nine-piece choir for performances of Prince’s “1999,” their own “Viva La Vida” and three songs from Everyday Life during the latest installment of NPR Music’s Tiny Desk Concert.

Frontman Chris Martin accompanied the choir on piano while Coldplay guitarist Jonny Buckland also took part in the session. Coldplay and the choir kicked off their set with “Cry Cry Cry” from 2019’s Everyday Life and then performed the massive 2008 smash “Viva La Vida.” Next up was “Broken” off Everyday Life and “1999,” the title track from Prince’s 1982 studio album. Martin, Buckland and the choir closed out their performance at Bob Boilen’s desk with Everyday Life track “Champion Of The World.”
