Cliff Williams’ Last Show With AC/DC After 39 Year Run Includes Bust Out

Yesterday, AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams confirmed he would be retiring from the band he first joined in 1977 following last night’s Rock Or Bust Tour closer in Philadelphia. Williams was saluted by his mates at the end of the show during an encore that included the return of a Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap classic after a 15-year layoff.

AC/DC featuring Axl Rose on lead vocals stuck to a similar script as past Rock Or Bust Tour stops on Tuesday night at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center until the encore. After kicking off the encore with “Highway To Hell” and “Riff Raff,” the legendary band dusted off “Problem Child,” which as per Setlist.fm was AC/DC’s first performance of the tune since July 8, 2001. The group then brought the concert to a close with “For Those About To Rock (We Salute You).” A tender moment came during band member introductions, when Angus Young stood next to Williams and saluted his longtime mate as the bassist’s AC/DC tenure came to a close.
