Circles Around The Sun Release ‘CATS Live Winter 2020’ Compilation

Circles Around The Sun released a new compilation, CATS Live Winter 2020. The live album features standout performances taken from the band’s February and March concerts on the East Coast featuring guitarist Scott Metzger.

Ethan Chambers multi-tracked the shows with CATS bassist Dan Horne mixing and mastering the recordings analog to 1/2-inch tape at Lone Palm Studio in Los Angeles. The resulting live record features recent takes on older CATS material like “One For Chuck,” “On My Mind” and “Scarlotta’s Magnolias” as well as newer material from the band’s 2020 self-titled studio LP — featuring late guitarist and founding member Neal Casal‘s final recordings — including “Baby Man,” “Pete Jive” and “Detroit Dos.”
