Chris Stapleton and his band appeared on Monday’s episode of A Late Show With Colbert. Stapleton and company offered a remote performance of “Devil Always Made Me Think Twice” off Chris’ recently released Starting Over album.
“Devil Always Made Me Think Twice” was penned by Stapleton and Al Anderson. Chris’ performance was highlighted by growling blues-rock guitar licks and his powerful vocal delivery. Stapleton recorded the bulk of the Dave Cobb-produced Starting Over at Nashville’s RCA Studio A with additional work completed at Muscle Shoals Sound and Compass Sound Studios.
