Chali 2na & Cut Chemist Team For ‘Comin’ Thru’ On Jam Cruise 18: Pro-Shot Video

One of the highlights from the first full day of Jam Cruise 18 in January was a Pool Deck set from Chali 2na and Cut Chemist. Pro-shot video of the pair’s version of “Comin’ Thru” has been posted to the Jam Cruise YouTube channel and can be viewed below.

Chali 2na (Charles Stewart) and Cut Chemist (Lucas MacFadden) have a friendship that dates back to when they were high school students in Los Angeles. Stewart and MacFadden formed The Unity Committee with Mark 7even in the early-1990s and joined forces with fellow trio Rebels Of Rhythm to launch Jurassic 5 in 1993.

MacFadden introduced Stewart as his best friend during their whirlwind Pool Deck set on January 8, 2020 — one day after Jam Cruise 18 set sail aboard the MSC Divina from Miami. The duo played material from both of their repertoires including “Comin’ Thru” off Chali 2na’s 2009 debut solo album, Fish Outta Water. Check out their performance of the song below:
