Cat Power Extends 2024 Bob Dylan Tribute Tour Into October

Cat Power (Chan Marshall) will bring her Bob Dylan tribute to over a dozen North American cities between September 6 and October 5. The excursion is the second leg of her tour celebrating Cat Power Sings Dylan: The 1966 Royal Albert Hall Concert, a live album released last fall.

Recorded at Royal Albert Hall in November 2022, Cat Power Sings Dylan finds the vocalist and her band reimagining Bob Dylan’s notorious 1966 Manchester Free Trade Hall concert. A bootleg of the original Dylan show was mislabeled the “Royal Albert Hall Concert” and Marshall stuck with the name for her initial show and live album. Cat Power delivers a full performance of the 15-song Bob Dylan concert/album at each stop of her tour.

The second leg of Cat Power’s Bob Dylan Tribute Tour begins at Lancaster, Pennsylvania’s American Music Theatre on September 6. From there, the trek hits Kingston (New York) on September 7, Ridgefield (Connecticut) on September 9, South Deerfield (Massachusetts) on September 10 and Ithaca (New York) on September 11. The lone Canadian date — a show in Niagara Falls, Ontario on September 14 — follows.

Cat Power brings the tour to the Midwest next for shows in Cleveland on September 15, Kalamazoo (Michigan) on September 17 and Columbus (Ohio) on September 18. Next, Marshall makes her way west via shows in Knoxville (Tennessee) on September 19, Birmingham (Alabama) on September 21, New Orleans on September 22, Austin on September 23, Santa Fe on September 25, Flagstaff (Arizona) on September 26 and Tucson (Arizona) on September 27. The tour ends in California after stops in Dana Point on September 28, Monterey on September 30, Santa Barbara on October 1, Sacramento on October 2 and Pioneertown on October 5.

Tickets for all shows go on sale Friday, May 3 at 10 a.m. local time.
