Car Crash At SXSW Leads To Two Deaths & 23 Injuries

The incident took place as the Mohawk was hosting a House of Vans show featuring Tyler, the Creator, X, the Black Angels, ††† and more according to Pitchfork. “We had a large crowd, I just thank God that a lot of the folks had already been pushed on the sidewalk or this could have been a lot worse,” Austin Police Chief Art Acevedo said at a press conference.
Watch the chief’s press conference at the Austin Statesman’s website. The Austin Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident to get in touch with them. The suspect has been charged with two counts of capital murder and 23 counts of aggravated assault with a vehicle.
