By Andy Kahn Feb 10, 2020 • 10:15 am PST

Capitol Sun Rays appeared on the Boulder, Colorado-based eTown radio program. The band is made up of Luther Dickinson, Amy Helm, Grahame Lesh and Birds of Chicago‘s Allison Russell, JT Nero and Drew Lindsay.
Dickinson, Helm and the Birds Of Chicago members worked together on the Luther Dickinson and Sisters of the Strawberry Moon project that last year issued the debut album Solstice. Dickinson, Helm and Russell shared the stage with Lesh after opening a Phil Lesh & Friends concert last March at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. Lesh was recruited to play bass for the Capitol Sun Rays’ performance opening for the Tedeschi Trucks Band at The Beacon Theatre in New York City last October.
