Buju Banton Spreads His Wings With ‘Butterflies’ On ‘The Tonight Show’
Watch the reggae legend perform the lead single from his new album Too Too Bad during the late night television appearance.

Buju Banton took advantage of a break in his tour with Stephen Marley to serve as the musical guest on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The Jamaican regge icon performed “Butterflies,” the lead single from his recently released Too Too Bad album.
Too Too Bad, Banton’s 13th full-length studio album, arrived last Friday, July 17 on VP Records. The Grammy-winning artist dove heavily into the dancehall sounds he helped introduce to the world on the follow-up to 2023’s Born To Greatness.
The catchy “Butterflies” was released in April as the initial offering from his first LP for VP Records since 2006. Banton enlisted Supa Dups (Rihanna, Drake, Bruno Mars) to produce the track, which has racked up millions of streams.
Buju Banton performed on a stage lit in the colors of the Jamaican flag on Fallon. He was accompanied by a DJ as he sang the dancehall-flavored “Butterflies.”

Stephen Marley and Buju Banton's Roots & Rhymes Summer Tour 2026 concludes on Saturday in Atlanta. The pair will bring the joint outing to Portsmouth (Virginia) on Wednesday, Raleigh on Thursday and Charlotte on Friday.
