Bruno Mars launched his highly anticipated The Romantic Tour over the weekend with two sold-out shows at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium. The trek marks Mars’ first full headline tour in nearly a decade and takes its name from his recently released chart-topping album, The Romantic.
The career-spanning 23-song setlists were identical on Friday and Saturday night. Mars pulled extensively from The Romantic by performing eight of the album’s nine songs at each show. Bruno Mars began the opening-night concert with live debuts of the LP’s “Risk It All,” “Cha Cha Cha” and “On My Soul.” The live premiere of “God Was Showing Off” followed a full songs later trailed by “I Just Might.” Mars also unveiled live versions of The Romantic’s “Why You Wanna Fight?” and “Something Serious” during the first half of both concerts.
Anderson .Paak hit the road with Mars as DJ Pee .Wee to support all Romantic Tour dates. Bruno Mars called upon Anderson .Paak halfway through each show for six-song Silk Sonic segments, which were the pair’s first live performances together since a 2022 Las Vegas residency.
Mars and .Paak linked “Blast Off” and “777” with the “Silk Sonic Intro” to kick off the Silk Sonic portion of the concerts. Fellow live debuts “Fly As Me” and “Smokin Out The Window” came next before the duo closed out the mini-set with a performance of their debut single, “Leave The Door Open.”
The global pop superstar loaded the backend of his main set with beloved hits, including “Marry You,” “Locked Out Of Heaven” and “Just The Way You Are.” Mars also delivered a medley combining portions of “Die With A Smile,” “It Will Rain,” “Talking To The Moon,” “When I Was Your Man” and “Versace On The Floor.”
A crowd-pleasing performance of “Uptown Funk,” Mark Ronson’s 2014 single featuring Bruno Mars, punctuated the set. Mars returned to end the night by premiering The Romantic standout “Dance With Me” as his lone encore.
Bruno Mars has nearly 80 The Romantic Tour dates on the books through December 8. Two North American legs are split by a trip to Europe for shows across the continent in June and July.
