Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band Perform ‘Thunder Road’ & ‘Jungleland’ In 1978

Bruce Springsteen continues to roll out video of his performance with the E Street Band from The Summit in Houston on their landmark 1978 tour. The latest sees The Boss and company performing “Thunder Road” and “Jungleland.”

Both songs originally appeared on Burce Springsteen & The E Street Band’s seminal 1975 album Born To Run. “Thunder Road” opens up the record while “Jungleland” closes it out. The latter features what is widely considered one of Clarence Clemmons’ best sax solos and The Big Man does not disappoint in Houston. The Houston ‘78 “Thunder Road” also contains characteristic passion from the entire band in an incredibly tight performance.
