Bruce Springsteen performed a song from his new album, Only The Strong Survive, on Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The appearance on the late-night talk show was Springsteen’s first of three that will happen this week.

Springsteen released Only The Strong Survive, his 21st studio album, on November 11 through Columbia Records. The 73-year-old musician chose 15 soul and R&B songs to cover, including “Do I Love You (Indeed I Do),” which was originally written and recorded by Frank Wilson in 1965. Springsteen twice appeared on Fallon prior to Monday, which was his first time performing on the show.

Monday’s episode featured host Jimmy Fallon interviewing Springsteen, who discussed becoming a grandfather, the possibility of joining Taylor Swift on her upcoming tour, the correct lyrics for “Thunder Road,” playing long shows and more, including Fallon playing a recording of Bob Dylan covering Springsteen’s “Dancing In The Dark.”

Springsteen will be back on the Tonight Show tonight (Tuesday, November 15) and tomorrow (Wednesday, November 16). He will also return to 30 Rock for a special Thanksgiving performance.
