Bruce Hornsby & Guests To Perform ‘Bruce Sings Jerry’ Set At Funhouse Fest

As reported, the second annual Funhouse Fest will be held on The Lawn Of The Art Museums Of Colonial Williamsburg in Williamsburg, Virginia June 23 – 25. Headliner and co-creator Bruce Hornsby has announced the format of his performances at Funhouse ’17 including a tribute to the late great Jerry Garcia.
On Friday, June 23 Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers will play a set with the theme “Top 90 Time.” Look for the legendary musician and his band play the hits and “near-hits” during the performance. Then, on Saturday, June 24 Hornsby will present “Bruce Sings Jerry.” Hornsby will team with English folk-rock trio The Staves and other special guests to perform the music of the Grateful Dead including a focus on Jerry’s songs. The final day of the event will feature a set from the duo of Bruce Hornsby and longtime collaborator Sonny Emory.
Sheryl Crow, Lake Street Dive, Rhiannon Giddens, The Staves, Kenny Garrett and yMusic are also aboard for Funhouse Fest ’17. Additional lineup announcements are expected in the weeks and months to come.
