Keyboardist Bruce Hornsby is one of two keyboardists set to join the Grateful Dead’s “core four” and Trey Anastasio for Fare Thee Well -Celebrating 50 Years of Grateful Dead this summer. Earlier today the sleuths of Phantasy Tour came across proof Hornsby has canceled a number of performances ahead of Fare Thee Well.

Bruce and his band were scheduled to play Casino Regina on June 19. A note on the venue’s website reads, “Due to a scheduling conflict the Bruce Hornsby & The Noisemakers show scheduled for June 19th has been cancelled. We apologize for any inconvenience. The Box Office will be in touch to refund tickets purchased over the phone or in person. Tickets purchased online will be refunded automatically.” Furthermore, Bruce Hornsby’s planned June 20th performance in Fargo, North Dakota has been cancelled due to a “scheduling conflict” as well. Hornsby was set to play The Community Theatre in Thunder Bay, Ontario on June 22. A page about the event on the venue’s website has been taken down.

That leaves one additional Bruce Hornsby show on the books for June -a performance at River City Casino in St. Louis on June 26. As for now, the show is still listed on the venue’s website and tickets are still available via Ticketmaster. You may remember that additional Fare Thee Well shows have been rumored to take place on June 27 and 28 in Santa Clara, California -just one day after Hornsby is supposed to perform in St. Louis.

We reached out to Bruce’s camp for comment about the cancellations and about whether the June 26 show will indeed take place, but hadn’t heard back as of press time. The June dates are still listed on Hornsby’s website and there’s been no official word from the keyboardist about the cancellations. Stay tuned!
