The Brothers have a sister.

Bay Area-based string band The Brothers Comatose announced a change to the band’s lineup. Addison Levy has joined the quintet to take over mandolin duties from Greg Fleischut.

Fleischut has amicably parted ways with the band to embark on “exciting new musical adventures.” Addison “Addie” Levy is based out of Nashville and Southwest Virginia.

Levy, a dynamic entertainer raised in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains, joined the traditional Appalachian music scene at age 10. She then spent the last decade performing, writing and recording music in a variety of settings. The versatile musician plays fiddle and guitar in addition to mandolin and also has a powerful singing voice.

“We knew she was family the moment we met her. She’s got boundless spirit and enthusiasm, and she’s damn fun to play music with. We’re beyond stoked to welcome her to the band!” exclaimed BroCo guitarist/vocalist Ben Morrison.

“I’m thrilled to be jumping in with The Brothers Comatose! I’ve been a fan of their music for years, and performing it with them has been a dream come true,” added Levy. “This only child is finally getting some brothers!”

Siblings Ben and Alex Morrison (banjo/vocals) co-founded The Brothers Comatose in 2009. Ben and Alex are joined in the current BroCo lineup by Addie, Steve Height (bass) and Philip Brezina (violin).

The Brothers Comatose will show off their new iteration over the course of a month-long tour with AJ Lee & Blue Summit. The trek begins on November 8 in Denver and hits the Mountains, Pacific Northwest and their native California through December 7. On December 31, The Brothers Comatose will ring in 2025 with a New Year’s Eve concert in Grass Valley, California.
