Bright Eyes recently played a session for SiriusXM’s SiriusXMU channel in which the band performed a cover of Thin Lizzy’s “Running Back” in addition to stripped-down originals. SiriusXM shared audio of Bright Eyes’ “Running Back.”

Thin Lizzy originally released “Running Back” on their 1976 studio album Jailbreak. Conor Oberst handled the lead vocals first performed by Thin Lizzy’s Phil Lynott on Bright Eyes’ cover of the song. Bright Eyes’ SiriusXMU session came in support of Down In The Weeds, Where The World Once Was — the trio’s first album since 2011, which came out this past Friday.
