Bonnie Raitt Performs ‘Home’ For John Prine

Bonnie Raitt shared a video of her covering Karla Bonoff’s “Home” in tribute to John Prine. Raitt began the video, which was recorded at home, by sharing condolences for Prine, who died last week at the age of 73 due to COVID-19.
Raitt’s cover of Prine’s “Angel From Montgomery” appeared on her 1974 album, Streetlights, and it became among her signature songs. She performed it at the 2020 Grammy Awards in honor of Prine, who was given the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Filmed the day after Prine’s death, Raitt’s home video of “Home,” which she recorded for her 1977 album Sweet Forgiveness, can be viewed below:
