Bon Iver’s Justin Veron Plays New Song At Virtual Bernie Sanders Rally

Bernie Sanders held a virtual town hall on the coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak on Saturday where the Democratic presidential candidate welcomed Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon. Vernon debuted a new song and also offered up a Bob Dylan cover.

After Soccer Mommy helped kick off the town hall and Sanders answered questions, Vernon — who performed at Sanders’ rally early this year in Iowa — played “Towers” from Bon Iver’s 2012 self-titled album. The singer-songwriter also performed “Blood Bank” from his 2009 EP of the same name and offered up new song, “Things Behind Things Behind Things.” Vernon delivered a cover of Bob Dylan’s “With God On Our Side” to close things out.
