Bon Iver put out a pair of new singles from the upcoming album, SABLE, fABLE. The project helmed by Justin Vernon shared “If Only I Could Wait” featuring HAIM's Danielle Haim and “Walk Home,” from the record set to arrive through Jagjaguwar on April 11.
Vernon recorded the sixth Bon Iver album, SABLE, fABLE, at his April Base recording facility in Wisconsin. The album was co-produced by Vernon and Jim-E Stack. The three songs making up the 2024 Bon Iver EP SABLE are the first three tracks of the 12-track SABLE, fABLE.
Vernon shared the statement below regarding “If Only I Could Wait” and “Walk Home”:
“For the second look into fABLE, it couldn’t be a single; it had to be a double. First, ‘Walk Home’ is a romp where you can’t wait to pull your clothes off fast enough and jump inside bed with your one true lover.
“And then – the two of singles – ‘If Only I Could Wait.’ A duet. A bilateral crying question. How long can the two of us hang on to each other?”
