Watch Bob Weir & Wolf Bros Perform ‘My Brother Esau’ ‘Live In Colorado’

celebrated today’s release of the live album Live In Colorado by sharing video featuring “My Brother Esau” from the run of concerts that yielded the LP. “My Brother Esau” was filmed at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on June 8, 2021.

Live In Colorado, out via Third Man Records and the group’s first vinyl collection of recorded material, features highlights from Bobby Weir & Wolf Bros’ concerts held at Red Rocks on June 8 and 9, 2021 and at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater in Vail on June 11 and 12, 2021. Wolf Bros’ lineup for the run featured Weir on guitar, Jay Lane on drums, Don Was on bass, Jeff Chimenti on keyboards and Greg Leisz on pedal steel. Additionally, the group was joined for portions of each show by The Wolf Pack string and horn section consisting of violinist Mads Tolling, trombonist Adam Theis, trumpeter Brian Switzer, woodwind specialist Sheldon Brown and cellist Alex Kelly.

“My Brother Esau” followed “My Speedway Boogie” and “Truckin'” to get the run underway at Red Rocks on June 8, 2021. Weir hadn’t performed the biblical-themed track he wrote with John Perry Barlow live in front of an audience since a June 14, 2014 concert with RatDog. Bobby and the band did play “My Brother Esau” during their Chinese New Year livestream concert at TRI Studios on February 12, 2021.
