Bob Weir To Perform With Members Of The National

As reported, Grateful Dead guitarist Bob Weir will soon release a new album titled Blue Mountain that will be accompanied by a brief solo tour. It appears Weir will be joined on the tour by members of The National and the LP’s producer.
On October 16, Weir’s birthday, Bobby will bring the “Campfire Tour” to The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York. The venue is run by impresario Peter Shapiro who is also the publisher of Relix/Jambands.com. Since Weir is playing a Shapiro venue, Jambands.com was able to confirm the backing band, for at least The Cap stop, will include three members of The National (Aaron Dessner, Bryan Devendorf and Scott Devendorf) as well as Brooklyn-based multi-instrumentalist Josh Kaufman. Aaron Dessner and Devendorf are featured performers on Blue Mountain, which was produced by Kaufman.
