Dumpstaphunk hosted the Get Down To Earth benefit concert for the Green School Alliance on Monday night at Great American Music Hall in San Francisco. Grateful Dead/Dead & Company guitarist and Green Schools Alliance International Ambassador Bob Weir and The Modern Lovers/Talking Heads’ multi-instrumentalist Jerry Harrison shared the stage with the New Orleans funk band.
As Deadheadland reports, Dumpstaphunk played an opening set to start of the evening that ended with Weir and Harrison sitting-in on “Not Fade Away” and “Iko Iko.”
The fourth song of the second set saw the reemergence of Harrison as he assisted on “King Bee” and his “Rev It Up.” Harrison then exited as Weir took the stage for an extensive sit-in that featured The Meters’ “Hey Pocky Way” and “Fire On The Bayou” as well as Grateful Dead favorites “Shakedown Street,” “Scarlet Begonias” and “West L.A. Fadeaway.”
