Bob Dylan Performs ‘It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue’ For 1st Time Since 2019

After spending the summer on Willie Nelson’s Outlaw Music Festival Tour, Bob Dylan headed to Europe to restart his Rough And Rowdy Ways Tour with three shows at O2 universum in Prague, Czech Republic. Dylan continued his recent trend of making unexpected additions to the setlist, treating the Prague audience to his first public performance of “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” since 2019.

Dylan stuck to a similar setlist structure over the course of the three-night run at O2 universum, which began last Friday night with another recent bust out, “All Along The Watchtower.” Dylan followed with fellow classic, “It Ain’t Me Babe.”

The 83-year-old singer-songwriter then played “I Contain Multitudes” and “False Prophet,” two of the nine songs from his 2020 album, Rough And Rowdy Ways, that made the setlist. Interspersed among those selections was the recently resurrected “Desolation Row,” as well as “When I Paint My Masterpiece,” “To Be Alone With You” and “Every Grain of Sand.”

Dylan also busted out “Dignity,” an outtake from his 1989 album Oh Mercy released on the 1994 Greatest Hits Volume 3 compilation. (“Watching the River Flow” was also played on nights two and three).

According to the official Bob Dylan website setlist database, “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue” was last played in public on October 23, 2019, at a concert in Ames, Iowa. Played over 560 times, the song appeared on Dylan’s 1965 album, Bringing It All Back Home.
