Bleachers were the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. The New York City-based project led by singer-songwriter and producer Jack Antonoff filled in for rapper Roddy Ricch who had to cancel his performance due to COVID-19 exposure.

The appearance marked Bleachers’ SNL debut. Somewhat fittingly the band also released an album called Take The Sadness Out of Saturday Night in 2021, from which they drew for both their SNL performances. The first saw Antonoff leading the group through the pop-rocker “How Dare You Want More” on guitar. Jack stayed on the six-string for the atmospheric “Chinatown” for Bleachers’ final play.
