Billy & The Kids To Play Lockn Festival

UPDATE 4/29 10 a.m. PT: Dominic Lalli will perform with Billy & The Kids at Lockn’. The Big Gigantic saxophonist first guested with the band on April 20 in Denver for a show with the theme Spring 1990 Revisited.

The latest addition to the Lockn’ Festival lineup is none other than Billy & The Kids. Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann made his return to the stage at last year’s Lockn’ for a Bill Kreutzmann’s Locknstep Allstars set after Bob Weir canceled his appearance at the festival.

Billy & The Kids finds Kreutzmann joined by guitarist Tommy Hamilton, keyboardist Aron Magner and bassist Reed Mathis. The band recently announced they will perform at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC for a Dear Jerry pre-party on May 13.

The Lockn’ Festival will take place at Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, Virginia September 10 -13. Phil Lesh & Friends, Widespread Panic, The String Cheese Incident and Umphrey’s McGee are among the acts scheduled to perform at Lockn’ ’15. Tickets for the festival are on sale now.
