Billy Martin Posts Photos Of Medeski, Martin & Wood Recording Together

Drummer Billy Martin has posted a series of images on Instagram that appears to show Medeski Martin & Wood recording together. Keyboardist John Medeski and bassist Chris Wood are featured in the photos taken by their percussive bandmate of over 25 years.

Martin posted an image last Friday of instruments and amplifiers with the caption, “Something tells me it’s gonna be a fun week. #mmw25years.” Subsequent posts seem to show MMW holding recording sessions at Allaire Studios in Upstate New York. A different photo caption saw Martin write, “Listening session 👅recording notes from day 1,” while revealing acclaimed producer/engineer Danny Blume was participating in the sessions. Another post indicated film director/photographer Jason Miller was also on site to capture the sessions.

MMW’s last studio releases were the children’s album Let’s Go Everywhere issued in 2008 and multi-volume The Radiolarian Series that came out in 2008 and 2009. Check out Billy’s recently posted photos below:
