Big Thief released the single, “Simulation Swarm.” The song is set for the quartet’s upcoming double album, Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe In You (DNWMIBIY), due out via 4AD on February 11.
Big Thief — Adrianne Lenker, Max Oleartchik, Buck Meek and James Krivchenia — released DNWMIBIY tracks “Little Things,” “Sparrow,” “Certainty” and “Change” in Summer 2021. Another single, “Time Escaping,” arrived with the official album announcement in November and the band recently released two more tunes, “No Reason” and “Spud Infinity,” in December.
“On Simulation Swarm,’ Lenker dishes more emotional dream-world poetry before slipping into one of the greatest lead guitar riffs in Big Thief history,” press materials for the new single noted. “This previously unreleased track has been a staple and fan favorite of the band’s live shows.”
