Jay-Z Makes Surprise Guest Appearance With Beyoncé In Paris

Last night, Beyoncé wrapped up the international leg of her Cowboy Carter Tour and three-show run in Paris with a concert at Stade de France. Queen Bey brought out her husband, Jay-Z, for a series of four songs, marking the couple’s first time performing together since 2018.

Jay-Z emerged towards the beginning of the show’s fifth act as Beyoncé performed their 2003 single, “Crazy In Love.” Hova arrived dressed in black to the audience’s delight and delivered his rapped verse of the song.

Beyoncé then ceded the stage to her husband for a solo performance of “Niggas In Paris” from his 2011 Watch The Throne album with Kanye West. Jay-Z made a lyrical change to the song, as he sang “Bey” instead of “Ye” in the line “Gold bottles, scold models, Spillin’ Ace on my sick J’s. (Ball so hard) B-tch, behave. Just might let you meet Bey.”

The tour debut of Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s “Drunk In Love” followed. Jiggaman stuck around for “Partition,” which like “Drunk In Love” was featured on Beyoncé’s self-titled 2013 studio album. “Give it one more time for HOV,” she said as her husband left the stage.

The husband-and-wife team up came after Beyoncé welcomed Miley Cyrus for the live debut of COWBOY CARTER track “II MOST WANTED” during her first show in Paris. Last night’s concert was a true family affair as Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s children, Blue Ivy Carter and Rumi Carter, are featured in each Cowboy Carter Tour performance.

Beyoncé resumes the Cowboy Carter Tour back in the U.S. this Saturday, June 28 with her first of two hometown concerts at NRG Stadium in Houston. The trek ends at Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium on July 26.
