First, the band consisting of banjo wiz Béla Fleck, bassist Victor Wooten, multi-instrumentalist Howard Levy and percussionist Roy “Futureman” Wooten embarks on a fall leg of their 30th Anniversary Tour. Fleck & The Flecktones begin the run at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama on November 21 and have gigs scheduled for Tennessee, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Vermont and Maine.
“The band is a creative idealistic project, one that somehow connects with people in a profound way,” said Béla Fleck. “Nothing about any of that has changed in 30 years. The Flecktones are touring for the sheer love of playing and celebrating our friendship. That’s why we get together these days.”
