Béla Fleck And The Flecktones Extend 30th Anniversary Tour Into 2020

Bela Fleck and the Flecktones will not only tour this fall, but they also will continue a celebration of their 30th anniversary with a run of concerts in March of 2020.

The four-piece kicks off the March jaunt on March 22 at Jefferson Center in Charlottesville, Virginia. From there, the group hits Williamsport, Pennsylvania on March 24; the State Theatre in Ithaca, New York on March 25; the Capitol Center For The Arts in Concord, New Hampshire on March 26; Berklee Performance Center in Boston on March 27 and the Staller Center in Stony Brook, New York on March 28.

First, the band consisting of banjo wiz Bela Fleck, bassist Victor Wooten, multi-instrumentalist Howard Levy and percussionist Roy “Futureman” Wooten embarks on a fall leg of their 30th Anniversary Tour. Fleck & The Flecktones begin the run at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama on November 21 and have gigs scheduled for Tennessee, Indiana, Florida, Georgia, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, Vermont and Maine.

“The band is a creative idealistic project, one that somehow connects with people in a profound way,” said Béla Fleck. “Nothing about any of that has changed in 30 years. The Flecktones are touring for the sheer love of playing and celebrating our friendship. That’s why we get together these days.”
