Beck Shares Somber New Song ‘Thinking About You’

Beck released a new standalone single, “Thinking About You.” The stripped-down tune is the singer-songwriter’s first new original music since he released the Grammy-winning 2019 album Hyperspace.
While “Thinking About You” may be Beck’s first new music in over three years, the chameleon-like artist has been in the news, recently announcing a co-headlining tour with Phoenix. Beck also teamed up with My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James for a cover of “Good Vibrations” at a Beach Boys tribute on Wednesday.

“Thinking About You” now sees Beck collaborating with Blake Mills (guitar, mandolin), Justin Meldal Johnsen (bass) and Roger Manning (keyboards).
“‘Thinking About You’ is a sublime dose of undiluted elemental Beck,” as per a press release. “A heart-tugging ballad in the tradition of classics Morning Phase and Sea Change… incidentally recorded in the very same room as the latter.”
