Bahamas Announces North American Tour Dates
The long-awaited North American run will see Afie Jurvanen in the U.S. and his native Canada.
Bahamas (Afie Jurvanen) announced North American tour dates. The run gets underway in late September in the U.S. and will extend into 2022 as the singer-songwriter tours his native Canada.
Jurvanen is touring around his 2020 album, Sad Hunk, and will also support Nathaniel Rateliff for the first three stops on the tour. Support for Bahamas includes Sam Weber, Langhorne Slim, Madison Cunningham and Ariel Posen on select dates.
Bahamas’ North American tour kicks off on September 28 in Richmond, Virginia with Rateliff before continuing with The Night Sweats in North Carolina and Tennessee. The headlining portion begins on October 2 in Louisville, Kentucky. After a play in Pittsburgh, Jurvanen heads through the Northeast with engagements in Boston and Philadelphia ahead of two nights in New York City wrapping up in Brooklyn on October 10. Washington D.C. comes next before Bahamas hits the South with shows in Raleigh, Charlotte and Atlanta ahead of two dates in Florida. After a performance in Birmingham, Alabama on October 18, Jurvanen makes a foray through the Midwest with stops in St. Louis, Kansas City, Minneapolis and Chicago before concluding the U.S. leg in Detroit on October 24.
Afie hits his native Canada beginning on November 17 in Victoria, British Columbia ahead of a stop in Vancouver. The tour then works its way east with plays in Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon and Winnipeg among others. December 1 finds Jurvanen in his hometown of Toronto followed by three more stops in Ontario before stopping in Montreal for the last show of 2021 on December 10. Bahamas 2022 gets going on January 10 in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, followed by a two-night stand in Halifax. A run through New Brunswick follows with the final stop on the tour taking place in Fredericton on January 18.
