The Avett Brothers Expand 2024 US Tour Into Fall

The Avett Brothers added over a dozen tour dates to their upcoming trek across the U.S. The new shows slated for September, October and November come in addition to previously announced spring and summer dates.

The extensive tour comes in support of The Avett Brothers, the band’s forthcoming eponymous studio album. Produced by Rick Rubin, The Avett Brothers’ first new album in five years arrives via Ramseur Records/American Recordings/Thirty Tigers on May 17. The follow-up to 2019’s Closer Than Together continues a long working relationship between Rubin and the band led by siblings Scott Avett and Seth Avett. Lead single “Love Of A Girl” was released late last month to preview the nine-track LP.

After taking the stage At The Beach in Mexico next month to top the bill at the 2024 installment of their concert vacation event, The Avett Brothers will mix headlining shows at amphitheaters and arenas with slots supporting Luke Combs from April 19 through August 24.

The new leg of The Avett Brothers’ 2024 U.S. Tour begins on September 12 in Indianapolis with Houndmouth. Then, the band and Melissa Etheridge co-headline FirstBank Amp in Franklin, Tennessee on September 13. Additional September dates are slated for Duluth, Georgia (14th); Little Rock, Arkansas (17th); Tulsa, Oklahoma (18th) and New Braunfels, Texas (20th & 21st).

The tour resumes on October 6 in San Diego ahead of shows in Phoenix on October 9, Grand Prairie (Texas) on October 11, Sugar Land (Texas) on October 12, St. Paul (Minnesota) on October 24, Moline (Illinois) on October 25 and Lexington (Kentucky) on October 26. The Avett Brothers also added a concert in New Orleans on November 7 and a swing through Florida featuring stops in St. Augustine on November 15, Clearwater on November 16 and Hollywood on November 17 after the inaugural Moon Crush An Avett Moon beach weekend in Miramar Beach.

Members of the Avett Guild fan club will have first dibs on tickets starting Tuesday, March 19 at 12 p.m. local time. Tickets then go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 22 at 10 a.m. local time.
