The Avett Brothers Share New Single & Add Tour Dates

Americana act The Avett Brothers will issue their ninth studio album True Sadness on June 24 through American/Republic Records. Today, the North Carolina-based group has shared the title track and second single off the upcoming new record as well as revealed a batch of new tour dates.

The follow-up to to 2013’s Magpie & The Dandelion also features the previously issued single and lead song “Ain’t No Man” among the 12-tracks making up the LP. Give a listen to “True Sadness” here:

Along with the new single, The Avett Brothers also confirmed a batch of new tour dates. The band will now appear in Simsbury, Connecticut on July 5, in Peoria, Illinois on September 10, in Southaven, Mississippi on October 6, in Greenville, South Carolina on October 29 and in Charlottesville, Virginia on October 30. Fan pre-sales for tickets to the newly added shows begins next Tuesday, May 10 at 12 p.m. local time.
