The Avett Brothers Open Halloween Show On ‘Horses’

The Avett Brothers rode horses during their Halloween performance. Seth Avett and Scott Avett performed the first song of their Thursday night show at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, North Carolina atop a pair of faux horses featuring skelelton designs.
The band got the show underway with the traditional made famous by Doc Watson, “Black Mountain Rag.” The set also included a number of songs from the Brothers’ 2019 album Closer Than Together including “Bleeding White,” “We Americans” and “C Sections And Railway Trestles.” The Avetts closed out the set with Closer Than Together track “High Steppin.’”
The band came back out or a three-song encore of “Die Die Die,” “Morning Song” and “No Hard Feelings.” Watch the band get the show underway on horses below:
