The Avett Brothers Documentary To Premiere At SXSW

A documentary film focusing on The Avett Brothers will make its premiere at the upcoming SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. In addition to screening May It Last: A Portrait Of The Avett Brothers, the band will also perform as part of the long-running conference.

Directed by Judd Apatow and Michael Bonfiglio, May It Last was filmed over the course of two years. It features exclusive footage of The Avetts in the studio with acclaimed producer Rick Rubin during the making of their 2016 album True Sadness.

The film is slated to premiere at the Paramount Theatre on March 15. Apatow, Bonfiglio and The Avett Brothers will participate in a Q&A following the screening and the band will perform a song as well. That same night The Avetts will perform a show at Austin City Limits Live at the Moody Theater. A second SXSW showing of May It Last: A Portrait Of The Avett Brothers will happen March 17 at the Zach Theatre.
