The Avett Brothers Share ‘Back Into The Light’ Single & Performance Video

The Avett Brothers unveiled “Back Into The Light,” the latest single from the band’s forthcoming The Third Gleam studio album. “Back Into The Light” was accompanied by a performance video featuring Seth Avett and Scott Avett as The Avett Brothers prepare to release The Third Gleam via Loma Vista Recordings this Friday, August 28.
The Third Gleam features eight tracks and sees the group return to their roots as an acoustic trio with bassist Bob Crawford. “The series is really focused and intentional,” Scott Avett told American Songwriter of the Gleam series, which dates back to 2006’s The Gleam and 2008’s The Second Gleam. “It’s a play on the quiet, little flashes of light that happen after a big, exciting and noisy time. Gleam is sort of like what happens after all the madness.”
