Performances from Austin City Limits Celebrates 50 Years will be filmed for a two-hour PBS primetime special of the same name set to air on April 4, 2025. Gary Clark Jr. and fellow Texas blues guitarist Eve Monsees will pay tribute to the late Stevie Ray Vaughan, who delivered a pair of iconic ACL performances in 1983 and 1989.

“Austin City Limits Celebrates 50 Years represents what the program stands for, has always, and will continue to—a broad, diverse, inclusive spectrum of music from all genres, showcasing legends and emerging artists alike,” noted ACL executive producer Terry Lickona.

Tickets for Austin City Limits Celebrates 50 Years go on sale this Friday, November 1 at 10 a.m. CT. Proceeds from the concert will benefit Austin PBS, the program’s producing station.
