Arlo McKinley shared a new single, “I Don’t Mind.” The tune is the opening track on the Cincinnati-born singer-songwriter’s upcoming album, This Mess We’re In, due out on July 15 via Oh Boy Records.
McKinley detailed This Mess We’re In April and shared the lead “Stealing Dark From The Night Sky.” Two more previews, “To Die For” and “Back Home” followed in May and June respectively. The latest track, “I Don’t Mind,” marks the last advance single ahead of This Mess We’re In’s release next week.
“I Don’t Mind” is “a powerful ode to self-forgiveness,” press materials for the song noted. “As the opening track to his best and most meditative collection of music to date, the song delivers an ascendant introduction to the candid lyricism and cinematic arrangements showcased throughout the LP.”
