Animal Collective Announces ‘Sung Tongs’ Live Album
The band will also release a new vinyl edition of their 2004 album Sung Tongs.

Animal Collective will mark the 20th anniversary of their album, Sung Tongs, with a pair of special releases. A new vinyl pressing of the band’s fifth album and an accompanying live album, Sung Tongs Live At The Theatre at Ace Hotel, will be released on October 4 through Domino.
The vinyl reissue of Sung Tongs is a canary yellow and ruby red colored double album. The vinyl repressing will be released on October 4 as well. The live album, recorded in 2018 in Los Angeles and featuring Animal Collective’s Avey Tare and Panda Bear performing Sung Tongs in full.

Sung Tongs marked the beginning of a prolific five-year period in which Animal Collective went on to release their game-changing albums Feels (2005), Strawberry Jam (2007) and Merriweather Post Pavilion (2009).
