‘SUMMERTIME CLOTHES’ AVAILABLE ON JULY 7 BAND ON TOUR NOW

“Summertime Clothes,” the second single taken from Animal Collective‘s universally acclaimed LP, Merriweather Post Pavilion (read our review here), will be available July 7 in North America on 12″ and digitally. “Summertime Clothes” is a deliriously warm and instantly infectious track. Pitchfork commented that the song “starts with an almost militaristic pomp, but soon reaches a place of pure sweetness with a simple chorus hook (“I want to walk around with you”) that could have come from any point in the last 100 years.”

Remixes are courtesy of Hyperdub’s elusive and spooky beatmaker, Zomby, L.A.’s ‘Ambassador of Boogie Funk’ Dam-Funk, and South London breakbeat and dubstep producer, LD.

Animal Collective recently gave a stunning performance of “Summertime Clothes” on The Late Show with David Letterman (watch it here). The band was joined by Brooklyn dance troupe FLEX who will also be featured in the forthcoming Danny Perez directed video.
